Donmentia Grant for Short Breaks

Please note that previous applicants are welcome to apply for another grant (see below) but priority will be given to new applicants.

Please be aware that these grants come out of DonMentia’s self-raised funds and we get no government help (or any official assistance whatsover). All monies collected come through volunteers’ activities, bequests and fundraising by people whose lives have been affected by dementia.

Previous applicants should wait 24 months from the date of the previous application before applying for a further grant and we have set a limit of 2 grants per household i.e. £1000 in two £500 payments over a two year period.

Also note that these grants are primarily focused on providing respite for carers; allowing them time to ‘recharge’.

Please answer all questions as failure to complete the form fully and accurately may result in your application being rejected or delayed.

DonMentia may need to make the relevant checks to ensure that the person has a diagnosis of dementia. We may also request photos and a short testimonial for the DonMentia website. By ticking this box you approve us to do so.

Please note that, whilst we would love to say 'yes' to every single application, we are having to restrict grants to a maximum of £500.

This form will be sent directly to admin@donmentia.org - you should shortly receive a confirmation email. We cannot process your application without a contact email address.
