120 people were awestruck and amazed at the spectacular décor and decorations in the ballroom at the Earl of Doncaster. They were there to enjoy special afternoon tea organised by Home Instead Senior Care with assistance from DonMentia and sponsored by Keebles Solicitors and Wiltshire Farm Foods.
Following sandwiches, delicious cakes and scones accompanied by endless cups of tea they were entertained by Whinhill Primary School with a selection of Christmas Carols and songs. After a nervous start they warmed to the task and even completed a couple of solo performances.
The Civic Mayor, Linda Curran, gave thanks to everyone for all their hard work and presented an accolade and special award to Eileen Harrington, the Founder of DonMentia, for her contribution to the charity and specifically for her help in making the event such a success.
The afternoon was a great achievement with everyone looking forward to the next one.
