Many of the shops contributed towards DonMentia’s Lucky Dip stall with some wonderful prizes on offer with lots of people coming back repeatedly as they were so pleased with their wins, which helped towards their Christmas shopping lists.
For the children Santa’s elves were there with biscuits to decorate and a bucket for donations soon gathered a lovely amount of money as did the roast chestnut and mulled wine stall.
DonMentia is very grateful to Lakeside for the opportunity given to help raise the profile of the charity, which helps Doncaster people affected by dementia. Funds raised are used to take them out on free day trips and excursions, removing all of the stress from carers and families in having to organise such events.
