DESCRIPTION:DonMentia is offering a free trip toThe Deep\, Tower St\, Hull\, HU1 4DP \nOn Tuesday 21st March 2023 to include lunch. \nPlease meet at 10.45 am at the Market Place car park\, Doncaster \n(opposite the Premier Inn) \nIf you would like to make your own way there\, you will still need to fill in a form\, for a meal to be booked for you as well as paying the entrance fee. We hope you can join us for what is sure to be an enjoyable day out \nAs usual all DonMentia trips are completely free to all participants\, but there is an expectation that if you sign to join in then you are willing to pay £30 per person if you drop out after 6th March\, as DonMentia will have already incurred expenses on the basis of your original agreement \nTo cancel\, please phone Eileen on 01302 723322 or email eileenharrington@talktalk.net as soon as possible\, to allow someone else to be offered the place \n(or – last minute only: 07796 653682) \nThe bus will leave the Market Place car park in Doncaster at 11.00am to go to The Deep\, Hull\, a journey that will take approximately an hour and fifteen minutes.   After you have been booked in take the lift up to the 5th floor\, which is the start of the route through the aquarium.  The restaurant and other facilities are also on the 5th floor.  Lunch will be served at 12.30pm in the Observatory\, (tbc) an upper area to the restaurant\, where there will be a choice of meals.  The time is then free to enjoy the watery sights and attractions.  (the Observatory will not be free until 1pm so it has been decided to wait until then to eat as it will be more private) \n  \nOn entering the aquarium\, you will become aware that the light levels are low and the floor has a gradual slope downwards.  It is suggested that you stand still and wait until your eyes have adjusted to the new situation.  The area then opens up and is light and bright with a lot of activity.  This is where the top water fish are situated and as you progress downwards the varying types of fish become evident until you come to the larger\, deep-water fish at the lower levels. \n  \nThere are no distinct floors as there is a gradual progression downwards but there are lifts and toilets on all levels as well as many places to sit down. \n  \nWe will then take the bus back to Doncaster at 3.30pm\, returning to the same car park at approximately 4.45pm. \n\n\n  \n\n\n\n Event or Trip Name (required)\n \n \n Your Name (required)\n \n \n Your Email\n \n Your Phone (required)\n\n Your Address\n \n Additional Information\n \n \nIf this event requires the purchase of a ticket\, please tick the box to confirm that you will reimburse DonMentia for the cost of the ticket even if you\, for some reason\, cannot atttend on the day.\n \nTick the box \n \n\n Δ

DESCRIPTION:DonMentia is offering a free trip to Cannon Hall and Farm  \nBark House Ln\, Cawthorne\, Barnsley S75 4AT \nto people currently experiencing dementia and their regular carer\, to include lunch \n To reserve a space\, please fill in the form below after checking ‘the notes’ \nCannon Hall is situated approximately twenty miles from Doncaster and will take about an hour on the coach.  It is well known to most local people for its many on-site facilities and its current television presence so there is sure to be something of interest to everyone. \n  \nLunch will be taken in the White Bull restaurant at 12.30pm in an area especially reserved for us. \n  \nThe visit to the farm itself is an additional cost to the free amenities and whilst it is of interest it may prove too much for many\, especially for those with limited mobility\, as there is a lot of walking involved.  As well as the usual pigs\, sheep\, chickens\, goats and expected farm animals there are llamas and Highland cattle with ferret races being a frequent feature.  If you feel able and wish to visit\, please let me know during the meal as tickets must be purchased separately.  This is not a problem but obviously it would be wasteful if tickets are bought and then not fully used. \n  \nA suggestion for after lunch – arm yourself with an ice cream and just sit and admire the wonderful views of the countryside from the front of the hall.  However\, if you’re feeling energetic take a tour around the hall\, which doubles as a museum and is free to all\, or go for a woodland walk\, or down to the lake\, or browse the wonderful Farm Shop and buy something for next day’s dinner. \n  \nWe will start the return journey home to Doncaster at 3pm\, taking the scenic route with a drive through the Pennines\, which will be prettier than the direct route\, expecting to return to the carpark at approximately 4.30pm. \nAs usual all DonMentia events are free to all participants.  However\, if you drop out after Thursday 21st September\, a fee of £15 per person will be payable due to the expenses that will already have been incurred by DonMentia. \nCould you also indicate choice of meal please (in the additional information on the form) \n\n\n\nFish\, chips & peas\nSteak pie\, chips\, peas & gravy\nLasagne\, chips & salad\nSandwiches of any variety & salad \nState choice\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\n Event or Trip Name (required)\n \n \n Your Name (required)\n \n \n Your Email\n \n Your Phone (required)\n\n Your Address\n \n Additional Information\n \n \nIf this event requires the purchase of a ticket\, please tick the box to confirm that you will reimburse DonMentia for the cost of the ticket even if you\, for some reason\, cannot atttend on the day.\n \nTick the box \n \n\n Δ\n \n\n\n\n
